Today, it is time for Friday Fictioneers hosted by the lovely Rochelle.  This week the photo prompt is from Marie Gail Stratford.  Thank you for the great picture!

She furtively glanced around.  No one.  She cocked her head to the side desperately listening for a single sound.  Nothing.

With hands trembling, she reached forward.  Wait!  Hands stilling, she strained to hear.  Seconds banged loudly.

Her fingers closed around the cap.  Fumbling, she twisted rapidly.  The cap flew off landing on the other side of the wooden rail.  Her eyes widened in horror.

Tilting her head, she gulped the water.  Its coolness soothing her parched throat.  She heard a creak.  She guiltily hid the water bottle.  And prayed that no one would see the bottle cap on the floor.
